About Us

Kollwig Holz was founded in 1988 as a lumber trading agency by Martin Kollwig. The business idea was to import high-quality Oak and Ash sawn timber from the Slavonian growing region and sell it directly to the wholesale trade.

In 1995, the first lumberyard with dry kilns and climatic warehouses was built in Großarl (Salzburg) and expanded in 1998. The aim was to trade, dry and store European and American hardwood lumber. (www.kollwigholz.at)

In 2003, the construction of another concentration yard was started in Böheimkirchen (Lower Austria). Here, the focus was more on trading, storing and drying cut-to-size dimensions for the parquet industry.

In 2018, the management was handed over to Norwin Kollwig and thus into the hands of the next generation.
